On another note, YaaaY cheetahs! I never get tired of watching photos of these slender cats. They're cute and beautiful and graceful and...they've got nice paws!

By the way, why is the black marking on this cheetah's face cut off? It looks faded right there in the middle.

They are so fun to watch, especially when they decide to run.

I think it's some of that tall grass in the foreground that mostly got blurred out. You can see it on his back leg too. ;)

Did you ever happen to enter inside an enclosure with a big cat or any kind of wild animal? I've seen proof of people doing it and there are few things I desire more than petting a cheetah or a big kitty, even if there are some risks doing this. Maybe in the next couple of decades I'd get the opportunity to do so. Meanwhile, I'd be very happy to just visit a decent zoo in this indecent country.

They laze 99% of the time. :B

I had a chance to pet a cheetah in South Africa. They had one on a leash, and you could go into an enclosure with it and pet it. But it just seemed wrong to me. The cheetahs are probably used to it by now, but I was worried about annoying or stressing them. I mean, they are wild animals, and probably don't like humans getting too close. A tourist was recently mauled in that very situation. So be very careful! :P
